Champions Treadmill

“I like to call challenges the ‘Champions Treadmill,” Becky’s son Dawson says. “God owns the ‘Champions Treadmill’ because he puts people in that position to help make them a better person. There are challenges and bumps in the road but once you get through them you will be the person God created you to be.”

Although challenges make life hard, the power that challenges produce allows character to develop. A developed character has the ability to spread God’s word. Challenges will feel tough. Challenges will feel crushing. Challenges will break your heart. But light shines through broken things. Your heart will break in challenges but through the cracks God’s light will shine through and then other people will see God in you.

Champions Treadmill does not operate on MPH but CPC: Character Potential Consumed. How much character do you have? The CPC resistance gage will move based on your built up challenge endurance and the current challenge you are facing.

Knowing that we will face many challenges in our life it’s important to know how to overcome them. I believe there are two types of people, small minded people and champion minded people.

How small minded people face challenges

They…

  • Hide or runaway
  • Quit
  • Become negative
  • Complain
  • Keep sadness inside
  • Take it out on other people
  • Worry too much
  • Become a bully

How champions face challenges

They…

  • Use their challenges to help others
  • Stand strong and are not easily shaken
  • Don’t quit. Ever.
  • Grow through it.
  • Are patient and wait, knowing this too shall pass
  • See the world through sunshine glasses
(look at the world with a positive attitude and perspective)
  • Are not afraid to ask for help
  • Always have hope that hard things don’t last
  • Pray
  • Win the day, everyday, one day at a time

Mindset is a choice. How do you choose to run challenges on the Champion’s Treadmill, with a small mind or a champion mind?
