Becky and her 10 year old son Dawson talk about progress and the purpose it plays in becoming a better version of ourselves and inspiring others along the way. When we progress through hard things our character improves, talk about progress and the role it plays in building character, accomplishing goals and walking out our purpose.
Dawson goes on to say this about progress….
Progress is a learning opportunity. Progress has low points and high points. High and low points in progress both play an important role in all things we do.
Low points on a progress chart show challenges or places you learned from the mistakes you made. You see this shows there is no success without error. I have had many times when I have had errors but I learned the most where I failed. I might have a test and even if I only get one wrong that’s the one I´ll remember the most. I grew through it. If you never try to grow through it youĺl never learn through it.
Never run away or shrink back. Running away is like putting money in the trash because you are missing out on investing in yourself. Progress is all about learning that is why never quitting is so important.
Life is made up of a series of progress. In life, you have ups and downs. Through it all if you press on, you will overcome to pursue your dreams. Like Steph Curry, he was always the shortest guy on the court. People thought he was too short. He did not give up; he used it as motivation and kept practicing.
When he finished high school, people still thought Steph was too short. The only college that believed in him was a small school called Davidson. But he kept playing and practicing. He led the team to the elite eight in the NCAA tournament. Then he was drafted into the NBA in 2009. He is still proving people wrong today.
You see he never gave up, never ran away, he grew through it. He had lots of progress. You can too as long as you never give up, grow, through it and pursue your dreams. It may be hard but youĺl feel better when you overcome it. You will also become a better person. Keep going even when it is hard that is when you improve the most.
